Here you get a watermelon tourmaline crystal from Brazil. The specimen and discloses contact faces at the “backside” and partly some damages. The front site , seen at the first photo, displays typical parallel intergrown crystals and terminated ends are fully covered by lepidolite lamellas. In transmitted light the specimen shows fully translucent or transparent parts with mainly greenish to pinkish hues partly you can see also yellowish colors. The base is showing mainly pink color while the outer surface of the elbaite is covered by a thin green layer. You get a specimen with the weight of more than 600 g from Brazil!
