Serendibite crystals have been found in two adjacent mines. The first mine produced quite compact and more often some transparent rough or crystals. The second mine was mainly dominated by very porous rough, very fragile and mostly opaque. Both mines are depleted in Serendibite. This crystal here has a fine shape and just shows crystalline fracture on the base. All other sides are terminated. You can see also polysynthetic twinning. A fine reference specimen !
