Mineral: | Condrodita / Espinela | Fórmula química: | (Mg,Fe2+)5(SiO4)2(F,OH)2 / MgAl2O4 | Tamaño: | | Peso: | | Transparencia: | transparente - translúcido | Número de piezas: | | Origen: | Oh Saung Taung, Le-Oo (Le U), al oeste de Mogok, Birmania (Myanmar) | Here you get two Chondrodite crystals with good luster and undamaged shape together with a intact spinel crystal in matrix. I still see these specimens sometimes sold as Norbergite, this is not Norbergite!! The bigger crystal has at one side a tiny cleavage area, there is also another two crystals but only partly terminated. Furthermore they are smaller spinel and chondrodite crystals deeper imbedded in the translucent calcite.
